Reception to reputed BUET Alumni Professor Dr. Iqbal M. Mujtaba, Saturday, August 06, 2016
This is to inform you that one of BUET’s reputed alumni, Professor Dr. Iqbal M. Mujtaba was in Canada. Prof. Mujtaba graduated from BUET in Chemical Engineering in 1983 and started his career as a lecturer in BUET, and later obtained his PhD from Imperial College, London, U.K.
Currently Dr. Mujtaba is a Professor of Computational Process Engineering and Head of the School of Engineering at the University of Bradford, U.K. and a Fellow of the IChemE, U.K. He is currently an executive member of IChemE Computer Aided Process Engineering Subject Group and was once Chair of BUET Chemical Engineering Forum, Bangladesh. He leads the Mechanical and Process Engineering research group in his current work place.
Prof. Mujtaba is a co-editor of two books and author of one book.
He has published more than 210 technical papers in major Engineering Journals, International Conference Proceedings and Books and has supervised 24 PhD students since 1997. He has given over 60 invited lectures and several keynotes in international conferences.
